My name is Ruth Brown. I was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan and graduated from Michigan’s Central High School. After high school I enrolled in Davenport College. I graduated from Davenport College with a Clerical Certificate. I gained employment in a law office as a typist.
I departed Grand Rapids and relocated to Champaign, Illinois. I gained employment as a cashier for Zayre Department Store while taking classes at Parkland College. At Parkland College, I earned as Associates Degree in Broadcasting. I later became employed at Carle Clinic as a Medical Office Assistant.
In 1995, I moved to Detroit, Michigan and attended classes at National Institute of Technology (NIT), where i received a Medical Assistant Certificate. I began employment as a medical assistance in an Ob\Gyn Clinic.
In 2010 I left Michigan and moved to Port Arthur, Texas. After a short stay in Texas, I relocated back to Champaign, IL where I currently work as a receptionist for Urbana Adult Education.
I have three children and six grandchildren. My hobbies include: reading, working puzzles, playing bingo, playing tennis, ballroom dancing, traveling, and listening to music.
